Well, what can I say, I gave it a shot and it panned out.
I was notified on wednesday may 17th, that, yes ladies, and genmen, I will be the newest employee at a mom and pop owned screenprinting shop here in town! The place is called Desert tees and things. On top of which I spoke to my mom-in-law, and will soon be the owner of a used Toyota truck. It's an older smaller truck that needs a tiny bit of work here and there, but runs well.
I'll be making payments on it as I drive it so that works out perfectly.
Things are lookin up!
I've been trying to change my sleeping habits as well, due to the fact that I'll be having to wake up at 6:30 in the AM. It's abit earlier than I've been used to lately, but obviously will be well worth it in the end.
I doubt my activity here on DA will change, but depending on what I'm doing, will determine how much art I produce, which in reality isn't much different.
After the truck is payed off and I own it, my next task will be working on buying a new PC. I saw an Asus mobo with an AMD 64+ dual core processor that has support for not one but two PCI-E slot cards, and can support up to 4gb of DDR Ram. The final price for the combo pack is just over $500.00. I think it's time I treated myself to some top end gear. I always end up with middle of the road stuff, and I'd, for once , like to have a top shelf system. Since most of my peripherals, and cards are top notch I'll only have to buy a new mobo/processor, and vidcard. Which totals off to around $700.00 to $800.00 depending on the quality of the videocard I get. Since I'll be swoopin' down on one of the newer pci-e cards it'll be at least $200.00 for the card.
Those of you who don't know what pci-e is I'll explain.
Pci-e, or pci-express, is new technology combining the power of the pci slot cards with the speed of agp. While agp is alot faster, due to the bus size for the slot, pci is more powerful as it's concentrated into a smaller bus. With a pci-e card you get the best of both worlds all in one shot. Add two of those babies to your system and there's no app or game you can't deal with...lol.
Well, it's time to go clean out the truck, and make it man-worthy, since my mom-in-law has all this wierd hippie-type stuff in it, it's almost undrivable....

Well, if it isn't enough that I can't find work, and my cable got disconnected, I found out last week I have psoriosis. Those of you who don't know what that is be glad you don't have it....lol. I'm still moving full steam ahead with my artwork, but my very limited connection is actually a wireless usb adapter I'm using to pull a signal in from my apt complex's office. I actually have permission to do so, so at least that's not an issue....lol. Even tho I do have a signal and connection, due to the distance it is very weak, and is disrupted when a cricket farts...
I just wanted to let everyone know that is why my comments have been severely limited. I appologize for this, but for now it cannot be helped.
Tourist season is about to pick up steam and head into full blown in about a month, so hopefully I'll have a job at least. I need to save up for an entirely new machine in order to perform on par with some of my programs. I also will be working to restore my service and so I can at least have a legit more reliable connection.
It'll happen, it just takes time

Well it seems I can't stay away from DA anymore...lol.
I've tried, but it can't be done. As a returning gift I decided to upload one of my latest renders "Borrowed Artifacts". For those who don't know I've been doing 3D design lately, and have also included 3D modeling, and UV mapping to my list. The scene is of my character Mitsukai Jinkusu (Jinx to those whoe remember her), in the Temple of Time, holding Link's legendary Master Sword, and hylian Shield. (I doubt Link will mind her "borrowing: them...lol). The premise of the scene is that Mitsukai travels thru time, and borrows the equipment for an errand she must perform. Don't worry Link will be aptly compensated....lol.

Well, it seems like all things, my tenior on DA has finally come to a close. After attempting to submit a new piece of art, I was astonnished to see a new submission agreement had been posted. I, happened to notice after you cut thru all the legal jargen, and actually dicipher what is written, that DA now is attempting to take certain rights away from us the owners of our art.
  On one hand you have a journal of deffense on behalf of dygel to the rest of the site admins., and on the other, you have what appears to be a very cut and dry, and contridictory agreement clause that allows DA to use anyone's art at anytime, with no threat of legal repercussion. This clause also benefits other 3rd party sites, in that they can liscense our work thru DA, and tho DA may not receive payment, we the artists would be almost certainly left out of the loop. This does not sit well with me.
I may be dead wrong and nothing may happen, but that is a risk i am damn sure not willing to take with my livelyhood.
  I create art for the love of it, and I receive no payment, but this does not mean i wouldn't like to. Moreover, in saying that I sure as hell don't want to be forced into a contract allowing other people to freely benefit, or profit from my hard work and effort. whether this be the case or not, as i said before, it's not worth the risk.

To my friends, You all have brought joy and happiness to me thru your wonderful comments, and have inspired me to do better, and move my own personal bar. I've had good comments, and bad, constructive and outright ludicrous, but in some way or another they all have taught me to reach deeper inside to pull something remarkable out. As far as the site goes, I won't bat an eyelid at it's loss, but to you, all my friends, I will sorely miss you all, Take care, my fellow artisans, and brethren.
